Built on ROLL-N-LOCK’s time-tested M-Series platform, the new ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series embodies all of the quality and design characteristics of the M-Series, yet incorporates several revolutionary enhancements. From its easy clamp-on installation, laminated cover construction and patented tailgate locking mechanism, to its ultracompact housing size and rugged durability, the new ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series has all the benefits of the M-Series, with the added convenience of push-button remote control!
Beauty And Strength
Cover construction is a laminated assembly of specially formulated soft-touch bi-laminate vinyl, bonded to a series of 40-thousandths thick interlocking aluminum slats. This multi-layered construction gives the ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series the appearance and feel of a soft bed cover, with the strength and durability of a rigid cover.
 Unique Construction
Contoured, patented hinge design provides smooth, frictionless rotation. In the rotated position, the locking flange functions as a positive stop, minimizing stress on the surface material. In the flat position, the locking flange traps the radius of the adjacent slat, preventing disengagement when a surface load is applied.
 Remote Control Operation
Using a standard key fob, and the power of an exceptionally reliable, internally mounted, 12-volt tubular motor, the E-Series opens or closes in only nine seconds on a full-size short bed truck.
 Clamp-On Installation
ROLL-N-LOCK’s patented clamp-on track design greatly simplifies the installation process while minimizing the need for drilling holes on most trucks.
 Compact Housing
ROLL-N-LOCK’s E-Series, like its M-Series counterpart, boasts the smallest housing in the industry, measuring only 7 ¼" in depth for a full-size short bed and 8 ¼" for a long bed. Cubic space requirements for the E-Series housing is a negligible 5% of total cubic bed space, and requires no floor space whatsoever.
 Automatic Light
For convenience during nighttime use, every ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series is equipped with a built-in, remote control cargo light. With the push of a button the key fob turns the light on or off, but should you forget, the E-Series automatic timer shuts it off for you in two minutes.
 Drainage
Recessed drain fittings ensure rapid and complete drainage of the unit housing.
 Tubular Motor Torsion Spring
ROLL-N-LOCK employs a heavy duty torsion spring drive which is housed in a 3" aluminum reel to ensure years of reliable use.
 Built-In Tailgate Lock
Another feature of the ROLL-N-LOCK E-Series is its new tailgate “Autolock” (patent pending), which is automatically activated when the cover closes and de-activated when it opens. This system is also designed to be manually unlocked with the use of a key in the event of a loss of power.
 Emergency Release Mechanism
Equipped with a specially-designed drive converter (patent pending), the E-Series can be instantly converted from electric to manual torsion spring-drive operation in the event of a power failure.
